At the beginning of the war in Ukraine in spring 2022, the Videocity team corresponded with Ukrainian colleagues asking what we could do to help. A frequent answer was to give Ukrainian artists a presence in the art world. Listening to this advice, Videocity has been supporting Ukrainian artists and promoting Ukrainian video art in different locations and countries. Since 2024, Videocity has also been organising exhibitions in Ukraine with the help of local partners and Ukrainian curators.
