Food II
Food is a much-debated topic. An increasing amount of people are becoming vegetarians and vegans, contributing with their ecological and ethical awareness to the global discussion. Just how "natural" nutrition is may be left open for debate: from the additives used to flavour, colour, and preserve food to the latest production technologies. Moreover, our relationship to food is influenced by marketing and its visual language. Finally, the handling and cooking of food reveals attitudes towards life and reflects the diversity of societies.
The sparseness of a farmhouse parlour, the artist's kitchen, a simply laid table, but also kitchen waste – these all reflect everyday experiences and current socio-political questions such as ecology, feminism, globalisation, migration, rural population, urban society, digitalisation, ethics and food production.

La Petite, Al Ain Square, Building 9, Abu Dhabi

Food here serves to reify invisible notions of appetite and acquisition.
