Videocity presents video works by Swiss and international artists on the subject of LONELINESS on the electronic billboard at the Congress Center Basel.
In 2019, Videocity presented the first Loneliness screening cycle across the city of Basel, Switzerland. Yet, the subject LONELINESS was rarely as relevant as during the current health crisis, where many find themselves isolated from their families, colleagues and friends. For this reason, the team at Videocity decided the extend the Loneliness cycle with a sequel, starting on 8th March 2021. Over a period of six months, 36 videos by 36 artists from Switzerland and across the world will be presented. Many of the selected artists are young and, for some of them, it is their first exhibition in Switzerland. Every two months, 12 new videos will be exhibited.

Videocity präsentiert Videoarbeiten von Schweizer und internationalen Künstler*innen zum Thema LONELINESS auf der elektronischen Plakatwand im Congress Center am Messeplatz in Basel.
2019 präsentierte Videocity den ersten LONELINESS-Screening-Zyklus in der gesamten Stadt Basel, in der Schweiz. Doch das Thema LONELINESS war selten so aktuell wie in der andauernden Gesundheitskrise, in der viele von ihren Familien, Kollegen und Freunden isoliert sind. Aus diesem Grund hat das Team von Videocity beschlossen, den Einsamkeitszyklus mit einer Fortsetzung ab 8. März 2021 zu verlängern. Über einen Zeitraum von sechs Monaten werden 36 Videos von 36 Künstlern aus der Schweiz und der ganzen Welt präsentiert. Viele der ausgewählten Künstler*innen sind jung und für einige ist es die erste Ausstellung in der Schweiz. Alle zwei Monate werden 12 neue Videos ausgestellt.
