The writer Robert Walser was a great lover of theatre, painting, cinema and music. These preferences have left their mark on his work. The expressive video clips, which will be shown publicly for the first time at the REX Cinema, condense these forms of expression into a fascinating multimedia collage: Balz Trümpy has written a composition for guitar and violin to Robert Walser's poems Sommer, Der Wanderer, Sonntagsvormittägliche Fahnen and Tiefer Winter; the musicians Nana Hiwatari and Yuki Kasai play the music score, the filmmaker Matthias Günter invents images to go with the poems and the actor Stefan Kurt reads the poems, which appear in a completely new guise in the clips, in the German original versions.
