Concept "I watch you"

The series "Eye/View" concludes with a selection of works that do not revolve around the brief "moment" but around continuous "looking". The situation where a counterpart is looked at, fixated, or observed for a longer period of time generates the most diverse reactions... If a pair of eyes focuses on a counterpart, the latter is exposed and encouraged to endure – this can be perceived as unpleasant or even threatening. In contrast, an unfocused gaze into the distance indicates absence or insecurity.

The video selection displays precisely such degrees of presence and absence, sometimes even bringing the viewer's situation into view.
