LONELINESS
A cooperation between Videocity, IFA and CDH-Tepeyac

On 26th and 27th December 2021 a collective of artists and writers from the city of Tehuantepec organised the Pensamiento Festival to promote the work and expressions from various artistic practices: painting, poetry, writing, installations, dance and theatre. The Isthmus Region is known in Mexico and abroad as one of the most biodiverse and multicultural regions in Mexico, inhabited by the Ikoots, Zapotecs, Chontales, Zoques and Mixes communities. The aim of the festival was to create a safe space for the performance and presentation of various art practices, from painting, to theatre to traditional music created by local artists. In this context, the screening of the LONELINESS cycle aims to generate a rich intercultural dialogue about experiences of loneliness. Covid-19 has strongly affected the region’s communities, where access to vaccines has been a slow process.
