The May programme is curated by Videocity founder Andrea Domesle together with Anouk Sebald, who lives in Gümligen near Bern with the starting point being Sebald's work >IN CHARGE<. “In Anouk Sebald's video, I am particularly interested in the element of the observing subject, who at the same time completely exposes themselves and proves to be vulnerable. This is recognisable in the video through the uncertainty principle. I sent Anouk our Videocity work list with 40 videos on the theme of the year. Those that will now be shown in the REX Box in May 2022 were suggested by the artist and are related to her video work."
