The first programme for Videocity's Foyer42 connects the city of Basel with its twin city Seoul. Gyo Yoon (Project Manager Videocity South Korea, Seoul) and Andrea Domesle (Director Videocity, Basel) have each selected three artists from South Korea and three from Switzerland, including Copa & Sordes from Basel.
Videocity's ‘Flower Power’ concept won a competition organised by the Swiss Embassy of the Republic of Korea to mark the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Switzerland and the Republic of Korea. It was shown for the first time at its own stand at ART BUSAN in 2023 and then on the outdoor screen of the famous SONGEUN art centre in Seoul. Since then, the cycle has been on tour, in the same year in the old town of Tübingen and in 2024 in the REX Box of the REX cinema in Bern.
